Who We Are
UN.WASTELANDS operates unwastelands.com and related retail, customer-account and membership services. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse, shop, use these services or contact us.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect or process:
- Contact details, including your name, email, phone number, and billing or shipping address.
- Account identifiers, profile information, preferences and membership activity. If you use our Telegram Miniapp, this includes your Telegram account identifier and the profile information made available to the Miniapp.
- Orders, purchases, returns, transaction history, payment references and payment status, including receipts or payment proof you provide.
- Cart contents, wishlists, browsing activity and interactions with our services, where those features are used.
- Messages, enquiries and customer-support requests.
- Device and browser information, IP address, usage information and privacy preferences.
Payment providers process the payment information needed to complete your payment. Card details entered in their payment forms are handled by those providers. UN.WASTELANDS receives transaction and payment-status information needed to complete, reconcile and support orders.
How We Collect Information
We receive information directly from you when you shop, use an account or membership feature, submit a form or contact us. We also receive information from Shopify, payment and fulfilment providers, and sign-in or communication services you choose to use.
Our services and providers collect technical and usage information through requests to our websites and apps, cookies and similar technologies. These support features such as account sessions and carts and help us understand service usage. You can manage cookies in your browser and through any privacy controls offered on our site; disabling necessary cookies may affect functionality.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Process orders and payments, arrange fulfilment, and handle returns and refunds.
- Provide customer accounts, membership features and the services you request.
- Respond to enquiries and provide customer support and service messages.
- Protect accounts and transactions, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain security.
- Understand and improve our services.
- Send marketing where you have consented or where applicable law permits.
- Maintain records, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Google Sign-In
If Google Sign-In is offered and you choose it, Google authenticates you and Shopify operates the social-sign-in integration with Shopify Customer Accounts. Shopify documents that your email address is the only customer information synced from the social provider through this feature.
Where a UN.WASTELANDS service connects to your Shopify account, it uses the authenticated Shopify customer ID to resolve or link your UWL account or membership identity. Your Google email address is a contact attribute, not your permanent UWL membership identifier. UN.WASTELANDS does not directly perform the Google OAuth token exchange or retain your Google OAuth access or ID tokens as part of this Shopify integration. The integration does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Photos or unrelated Google account data.
We use information obtained through Google Sign-In only for authentication, customer-account access, resolving or linking your authenticated Shopify account, account and membership functionality, customer support, security and fraud prevention. This information is not sold or used for targeted, interest-based or retargeted advertising. We do not share it for those advertising purposes. These limits apply throughout this policy, including its general marketing and sharing sections.
The synced email is held in Shopify customer-account records. Where necessary for the purposes above, Google Sign-In-related information and account-linking records may also be held in our connected account, support and security systems through our infrastructure providers. We share such information only with Shopify and providers needed for those purposes, or as necessary to comply with law or protect against fraud, abuse or security threats. Google Sign-In-related information follows the retention and deletion principles below. Deleting a sign-in link does not automatically delete ordinary customer or order records that we must retain for the reasons described there.
How We Share Information
We share personal information with the providers described below only as necessary for their services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to resolve disputes or protect rights and safety, or when you direct us to do so. When you use a sharing feature, information you choose to share is disclosed to the recipients you select. Google Sign-In information remains subject to the narrower limits above.
Shopify and Service Providers
Shopify hosts our online store and processes information when you browse, use customer accounts or make purchases. We also use payment processors, hosting and infrastructure providers, delivery and fulfilment providers, communications and support services, and analytics or service-operation providers where needed for our services.
Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. Shopify uses information about your interactions with our store together with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify to provide services, including product improvements, personalisation and ad targeting. This involves sharing information with Shopify and other service providers that may process it in other countries. The restrictions described above continue to apply to information obtained through Google Sign-In.
Providers receive information only as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own legal and privacy obligations. When Shopify or another provider offers a service directly to you, its privacy policy also explains its handling of your information. See Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify's privacy portal for information about Shopify's practices and to exercise rights concerning Shopify's own processing, including requests to withdraw consent or object to processing where applicable.
Marketing
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism in those messages, or contact us to opt out. Necessary account, order and service communications may continue. Marketing permissions do not override the restrictions on information obtained through Google Sign-In.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain customer accounts, protect against fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer required for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably practicable.
You may request deletion using the contact details below, subject to information we must retain for legal or legitimate business purposes. These principles apply to Google Sign-In-related information as well as other personal information. For example, account deletion may leave transaction records that are still required for tax, accounting, disputes or fraud prevention.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
International Transfers
Shopify and our service providers may process or store information in countries outside Singapore or your country of residence. Where applicable law requires safeguards for these transfers, we take steps to provide the required protection.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your information, withdraw consent, opt out of marketing, object to or restrict certain processing, or exercise other rights provided by law. Depending on applicable law, you may also opt out of the sharing of your personal information or its use for targeted advertising. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Withdrawing consent may affect services that depend on it, and does not remove obligations to retain certain records. You may contact us with a privacy concern or complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children below the applicable legal age to use them independently. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services, practices or legal requirements change and will update the date above. We will provide additional notice where required. Before accessing new types of Google user data or using Google Sign-In information for a new purpose, we will notify you and obtain your consent to the updated disclosure.

Google Sign-In and Google User Data
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google authenticates your Google account and Shopify operates the social sign-in integration for UN.WASTELANDS Customer Accounts. Through this integration, Shopify may receive and store the email address associated with your Google account and associate it with your Shopify customer profile.
UN.WASTELANDS does not directly request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Photos, or other unrelated Google services. UN.WASTELANDS does not directly receive or store your Google OAuth access token, refresh token, or ID token as part of this Shopify social-sign-in integration.
How we access Google user data: UN.WASTELANDS accesses Google-originated information only through the authenticated Shopify customer account created or accessed through Shopify’s Google social-sign-in integration.
How we use Google user data: We use this information only for authentication, customer-account access, account support, security, and to associate the authenticated Shopify customer account with UN.WASTELANDS account or membership services. Your Google email address is not used as the permanent membership identifier; the authenticated Shopify customer ID is used for account identity.
How we store and retain Google user data: Information synced into the Shopify customer account may be stored by Shopify and may be processed by UN.WASTELANDS as part of your customer account. We retain this information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide account services, maintain account security, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. When it is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized where reasonably practicable, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
How we share Google user data: Google Sign-In information may be processed by Shopify and service providers only as necessary to provide authentication, account functionality, security, and support. UN.WASTELANDS does not sell Google user data and does not use or transfer Google user data for targeted, interest-based, personalized, or retargeted advertising.
UN.WASTELANDS’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
